Summer's dying, Fall is falling, and my tomatoes are still green.

Just wondering what veggies and foodstuff y'all are laying in for fall/winter crops?

I started my garden up to two months ago: chard, kale, lettuce, broccoli, parsley, and pak choi. The pak choi i have managed to root from a head i bought at the asian market. I have a couple of little roots, currious to see if it makes it! For some reason seeds where a little hard to come by.

Green tomatoes over here too! Not to mention my Squash blossoms are looking squished! boo hoo

if it starts to get damp and you worry about losing your tomato harvest to winter weather, just pull up the whole plant out of the ground, shake off the dirt from the roots, and hang it roots up (yes upside down) in a cool area out of direct sunlight (I use my garage). as the green matter dehydrates, most tomato fruits will ripen, and this way you can still get some ripe fruits.

not planting anything now, but still harvesting tons of red russian kale, potatoes, big onions, herbs and wild foods.

Glad I finally found this group!

Mostly I'm just putting in another winter covercrop of barley and vetch and clover.

I did plant some broccolli and swiss chard and ...chinese cabbage.

The jujubees are ripening! That is my happy news.

Sadly I had an early cold night (37F) and my acron squash and gourds are rather dead.

I don't know what the peas are up too. I may get some sprouting. That would be good.
